I woke this morning to the rain pitter-pattering outside and the sun coming through my window. God is sooo good!
I began learning the Slovenian language last night with this cool new app I found: MEMRISE. It uses speech and repetition to help you learn a new language.
Unfortunately, MEMRISE charges after the first lesson. So, maybe I’ll just skip back on my merry way to DUOLINGO again.
There is so much to learn and so little time!
I’m making coffee now in my pour over kettle.
I added dashes of cinnamon and nutmeg to the top basket and filled the pot with 4 mugs of water. Estimating six T to four mugs. Approximately 36 oz water to 6 T coffee.
I used a combination of 4 T GEVALIA pre-ground French roast and 2 T WESTROCK COFFEE COMPANY KIVU BOLD.
I am a huge fan of KIVU blend which roasts as a bold and smoky cup of coffee.
Oh! It’s starting to come up the straw and boil over!!
The water coming up is still clear looks like it’s gonna take a bit more time….
The coffee is bubbling up much more rapidly and the color has changed to a caramel and now dark hazelnut.
I’ll let it boil for another minute then take it off the fire.
It’s best to pour as soon as you can because coffee’s flavor changes as it changes temperature.
Well, friends I hope you have a wonderful day and keep your coffee cup warm and full.
Good communication is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.
