Dinner Party Seen from Afar

Eeeeee!! rang out across the dining room where all the guests sat. My foot erects I shift in bed to see the commotion going on. The noise coming from our youngest guest sweet Virginia with her glowing red cheeks like red apples. Soon the guests are assembled in my “bedroom” chattering about how their babies are growing into children.
I cannot believe how much they’ve grown either! Isn’t it a beautiful thing to see children grow.

“Children make your life important.”

Jamima shared with me about her daycare and about her next vacation. I enjoy so much listening to Jamima. I shared with her about my latest scarf knitting conquest and about my next blanket project.

The table was arranged beautifully, thanks to my lovely caring step-mother. Who is my current care-taker, God Bless her! The table is covered with a beautiful golden tablecloth shimmering in the darkness of the night. The porcelain plates are a beautiful white their simplicity stolen by their golden rim that shine against the fluted wine glasses.

Vivaldi’s Spring invigorated the house with a burst of triumphant violin staccato. Two high chairs full and a busy loud dining room is such a wonderful delight.

Wonderful smells wafted from the outside porch as my father brought in a plate of succulent steaks. As I cut into my steak the atmosphere of the room changed as the dessert was revealed. A beautiful three-layered rum spice egg-nog cake appeared. Its decadent layers buttered with a cloak of light whip cream swirled in layers never-ending white.

Food and friends made this party a complete wonder.

What a splendid thing unity is!

Dinner Parties and Why you Should Have More

Water spurts out from under a pot of boiling water, The beans are ready to be added and a strong smell of cumin emanates from my kitchen as I watch the chili come to a boil.

Cooking is such a profound expression of human unity. And dinner parties are the perfect opportunity to express yourself. Having friends and family over for dinner brings a unity and always laughs.

My most recent dinner party was a multi-ethnic party. Having many different nationalities of friends brings so much fusion and creativity to my cooking. I love experimenting with different foods and using interesting spices.

Dinner parties are a time to share good times and laughs.

Unity is so special and if you can bring others together it can be a truly exceptional experience!

Let. Others. Value. Each other.

“Looo—ve is vwhat bwrings uss togetherr tvoo-day…”

If you’ve seen the movie Princess Bride I’m sure you’re smiling and made even chuckling a little on that line. If you haven’t I can attest that this movie will not only make you laugh but also grip you chair in anticipation.

I would gladly give you a movie overview. However, I “have bigger fish to fry” in this post.

Love. Others. Value. Each other. spells love. Love is the correspondence of human feeling. Recently, I stumbled upon Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116, “Let me not to the Marriage of True Minds”. I love this poem! It is the perfect illustration of what love should exist between us as. Loving others like our humanness requires us to.

Love is contributing our best to the bigger whole of humankind.

I was so blessed to have dinner tonight with one of my most wonderful friends. And we had a smashing good time and a wonderful amount of good laughter, joy, good food and love was spread around the table. We talked about literature, movies, music, war and peace. It was a feast of French Onion soup and a wonderful root vegetable dish.

Having the love of friends is so essential to our beings.

My family gathered last week in celebration to dine on the harvests plenty around our big farmhouse style table. It was so wonderful to be in unity with my family. to share that familial love that I am so fortunate to have.

As Michael Buble sings, “Love is a funny thing, whenever I give it it comes back to me.” This lyric resounds with my post and I hope encourages, you, my dear reader, to love and let love find you this next week.

My dear compassionate readers, I wish you the best in the remainder of this week.

Be human stay kind.

Sincerely,

Magnificent27

Mole, a Rodeo and a Sure Sunrise

Hi all! Sorry for the delay in posting, I have been doing a lot of reading, rodeoing and getting my name out to job boards. Eek! I was finally decided on the perfect job for me as a customer service representative, so excited for my first day!

These past weeks have involved quite a lot of livestock and “horsin’ around” rodeo reporting fun, in my area of Kansas. The Belleville County Fair and Midget nationals were last week and the previous week was the Cloud County fair. Unfortunately, I did not make it to either, however, I read a great article about the Midget racing from Deb Hadachek from the Belleville Telescope,

The History of Races: From Cars to Pigs

I thought it was a fascinating article, the history of little towns always interests me.

Aside from working for the newspaper and going to rodeos I’ve been enjoying some amazing sunrises!

I’ve also been experimenting with brownies! One of my favorite things to bake. Recently some of my favorites have been a simple combo of 3 Tablespoons of cocoa, 1 banana and 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter; I use Crazy Richard’s peanut butter.

And oh goodness, if you’re looking to add some chocolatey goodness to your chicken, I have the recipe for you. Moles! Oh goodness, it’s like eating chicken and chocolate all at the same time! I have been experimenting around with mole sauce and have found the best recipe to be a Healthy slow cooker recipe. This recipe has no added oil or dairy butter but instead uses 3 Tablespoons peanut butter. Which makes a yummy protein addition to the chicken.

I found these recipes on my Allrecipes app which is a really convenient way to explore recipes and organize your recipes. This is a super convenient app if you have kids or a 9-5 job. The link for that is below.
